Casual Tea Ceremony Experience
Instructor: Soko Ishikawa
— For tourists from abroad and foreign residents in Japan —
The Way of Tea, known as "Chanoyu," is one of Japan's traditional cultures that emphasizes the importance of harmony with nature and human interactions through the art of "Omotenashi" (Japanese hospitality).
As the seasons change, so do the formalities of the tea ceremony. However, if you're new to this experience, we invite you to join us for a casual practice session where you'll be able to enjoy a simplified version called "Bon Ryaku Temae" while sitting at a table and chairs. You'll also get to savor some Matcha (powdered green tea) and Japanese sweets.
If you're interested, we look forward to your participation!
